EGM & 2009 AGM

On Sunday 19th April 2009 an EGM was held to consider a motion put forward by the Committee seeking changes to the Club's Constitution. The changes, which were unanimously approved, will allow the committee, at their discretion, to co-opt full members to fill any vacancies occurring through the resignation, death or otherwise of any committee member.

The Annual General Meeting was then held. The Chairman said that attendance at the meeting was encouraging and it was a good turn out. The AGM agreed to raise annual fees to:-  Adult £110 and Junior £35 with joining fees remaining at £20 for adults and £5 for juniors. It was decided by a large majority vote to abolish family membership. This will take immediate effect for new members but to make it easier for current members to budget for the increase, it will take effect from April 2010 for existing family members .

The President, Tony Elwell, presented certificates to winners of the 2008 Club Championships.

The following officers and committee were elected to serve for the ensuing year;

Baz Plumpton was elected as Competitions Organiser but resigned in June for personal reasons. Don Caffery was co-opted at the August committee meeting to fill the vacancy


Committee Meetings

The committee meets on the first Wednesday of every month. On those days the club closes early at 3pm. Members with issues they would like the committee to consider should speak with a committee member, who will raise it for them, or ask the Chairman or Secretary if they may attend a meeting to explain the issue themselves.

Late Opening of the Club

From 29th April 2009 until the end of September as a trial, the club will be open until 8pm on the last Wednesday of each month. If this proves a success with enough members using the club to make it worth while it will be continued in future summers and may be extended to more evenings per month.

(Please note:- if by 7pm no-one has turned up, or at any time after 7pm, everyone has finished shooting the club may close early).
